Nice People, But No Idea How to Manage Work

Pros

People are generally very kind Benefits and salaries are competitive Committed to DEI principles and practices

Cons

Teamwork is an alien concept; everyone just kind of does what they want, which results in a ton of extra work and miscommunication. I was involved in a project that spanned 3 of the 4 locations, and it was one of the worst experiences of my career because the management was so poor. Technology structures are lightyears behind other comparable print shops. Basic server structures and security practices are some of the worst I've seen.

Pros

Was once a flexible hybrid 2 days in office schedule. Was once work, life balance.

Cons

Mandated all employees to return back to office 4x a week. If you have any personal appointment you better schedule it on the one day you can work from home or else you'll have to use PTO to leave for your appointment. Power trip coming from CEO. It's a do as I say not as I do type of vibe.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. While Imagine did allow a more flexible hybrid schedule during the pandemic for a small portion of our employees, in order to best run the business and service our customers, and fairness to the majority of our employees who remained on site for the deration, the decision was made to return to office four days a week. Our employees are valuable to us, and we understand change is not easy, please discuss your situation with your direct manager or your HR leader to work out any necessary accommodations.

Declining Work/Life Balance

Pros

Your fellow co-workers are good and honest workers. The department managers here are kind and respectable people as well. The company tries to improve on little things, and have an occasional event to try to keep moral up. The building interior design is improving, and the cafe is good.

Cons

Work/life balance is declining, without anything to compensate for it. They have just recently implemented a policy stating they can fire you if you are 1 minute late to your shift one too many times. Moral is declining, stress is rising. Many valuable employees have departed from the company in the past year, likely due to the decline in the pay raise.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Imagine does have fantastic workers and a great culture. We have not had any recent changes to our attendance policies, so we encourage you to pop in and have a chat with your HR partner, they would be happy to talk that through with you.
