Deceptive and Unethical

Pros

Because they fire or lose employees at an astronomical rate, there can be some good opportunity to take on additional responsibilities.

Cons

Leadership operates on shady and deceptive business practices. They do not look out for employees and are concerned with doing the bare minimum to be legal- and then sometimes choose the other route anyway. Benefits are terrible, and you shouldn't expect much in the way of pay increases. They were a strong company back in the late 90s- early 2000s, but now can't keep contracts and continually lose re-competes. There is close to zero job security.

Pros

MIL is a strong company with a good culture for employees, especially those on government contracts. They have a very good track record of maintaining customer relationships and winning recompetes with those clients. The owner and a lot of the senior managers care about their teams and their employees as individuals, which is great. The core capabilities are also really strong and needed by the customers, so it's also a stable working environment than most government contract businesses.

Cons

At times, the company-wide culture could be stronger. Within the divisions, it's very strong, but the communication across the groups can be better. This can help with job opportunities and promotions as well as sharing capabilities to other customers.

Pros

Pays well and that is about it!

Cons

Unprofessional leadership, managers who have an in crowd of employees who receive preferential treatment, and lacking of transparency in terms of the contract. These folks are NOT to be trusted. Program Managers hardly last 6 months with them. They will also provide guidance on what to say to the customer and when it backfires, put you in the hot seat. A former colleague experienced this and I was aware of what he was told to say. Too bad he did what they told him to do and it cost him. They will make up lies and more to fulfill their agenda. If you call them on it, they will terminate your employment and submit pages of lies for future job roles and security investigations. This was my experience and although my employment was wrongfully terminated, glad I was able to give them the business on interview with unemployment and get over $8K in compensation. Bringing the EEOC in on them would've been too time consuming to pursue, so moved on. If you value your career, don't do business with these people regardless of what you read in other reviews!
