Pros

You will see this one a lot here. But the people are the best part of the company. VFX people are amazing and passionate about what they do, and because of the company’s reputation and clientele, it attracts talented people.

Cons

The company mistreats its employees and says it's "industry standard." However, it is one of the biggest companies in its niche, and it sets the standards. Low pay, unsustainable hours for staff. Late payment and little regard for freelancers. Layoffs are frequent, and promotions/raises are rare. Whatever heart the company had before mergers is gone. It truly is a heartless company!

Pros

high profile projects for your reel

Cons

An absolute nightmare of a place to work. Toxic environment fueled by cliques and bullies who think they work in ICU at a hospital. Be prepared to get walked all over by clients and your own cd's/ep's. You will work weekends and all hours of the night, and be expected to exploit your coworkers in order to make deadlines. The working conditions are a danger to the employees physical and mental health. I think two years working here had the same effect on my health as if I had been smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day for 30 years.
