Pros

Still some great people left working here Flexible hours (and vacation for those allowed take it)

Cons

CEO only wants to talk about AI instead of what actually makes his company money CEO offers exit package to anyone that questions him When employees leave, they aren't replaced and other just made to work harder More AI contractors hired instead of backfilling exit positions

Pros

Healthcare benefits are better than average but reportedly dwindling.

Cons

This company is a good fit for you if: -You do not want to be paid market rate for your tech role. -You do not want to get regular raises and you are disinterested in cost-of-living increases. You prefer to be compensated in company stock that doesn’t vest for several years and is very difficult to sell after you’ve left the company. -You really like a “star” culture, where different people’s stars regularly rise and then inevitably fall. -You prefer murky direction from leadership that does not allow you to make long-term goals because you know the goalposts will change even within a single quarter. -Risks are fine. Stupidity is not. The crypto and NFT hype in 2020/1 was just so weird. Unfortunately a lot of people lost a lot of money. Seasoned investors saw this coming but their dissent fell on deaf, overly excited ears. -Finally and most importantly, this company is a great fit for you if you’d like to make the world Dumber, Sadder & Poorer. If this sounds like you, congratulations! Go ahead and apply.

A Farewell to Humanity

Pros

Yes, the benefits are totally okay.

Cons

A couple of years ago this company was a place with some amount of compassion (even though the extent was often exaggerated). This has utterly changed. There is inhumane treatment of employees everywhere you turn. They are pretty good at hiding it, so the real extent must be way greater than any one employee could attest to. What makes it so much worse is the insistence of leadership and management that they actually care about employees. They do not.
