Pros

Great people, very collaborative environment, a dedicated and focused team, no hand holding, very strategic vision for future, growing at rapid pace, 401(k) contribution, great benefits, increased pto after 1 year of employment. I have been with The Mx Group for over 5 years and it just keeps getting better. They are taking a very serious initiative to make employees happy.

Cons

Not necessarily a con but there is no hand holding. If you are not willing to take ownership of your work, this is not the right fit for you.

Pros

I’ve worked at The Mx Group for three years and it has been an excellent experience. Definitely one of the best places I have ever worked. A great group of talented people, including a capable and responsive management team. I have spent most of my career working for ad agencies and I can tell you that the environment here is remarkably free of the ego and politics often associated with this industry. In full disclosure – I am the Marketing Director here, so I have a direct interest in the company being perceived in a positive light. That said, I have no motivation for misrepresenting what it’s like to work here. There is a great collaborative spirit at The Mx Group but it is a deadline driven environment with high performance expectations. Among the many advantages of working here are flexible hours, a real commitment to training and advancement and an excellent benefits package. I would like to respond to one thing that has been said by another reviewer. More than a year ago, we did run a social media contest to encourage employees to increase their social media activity. I was the Media Director at the time and the contest was run by my team. Employees were not given incentives for posting positive reviews on Glass Door and no part of the contest encouraged or rewarded any untruthful activity. Also, this contest has been over for more than a year. All of the positive reviews you read here or elsewhere about working at The Mx Group are authentic and have not involved anyone receiving rewards of any type.

Cons

While work-life balance is better than it is at most agencies, client demands can sometimes create heavy workloads.

Pros

Newly updated office - open space, lots of windows and light Great size for an agency - Large enough to feel large, but small enough to know everyone by name Great upper management - they've been in the trenches and understand the work going into things Excellent sense of community - whether its bake sales or happy hours or just lunches, everyone here makes you feel a part of the community and group Clear corporate communications - very clear direction of the company goals and financials are given on an almost monthly basis

Cons

Located in the suburbs - for a city dweller, the commute gets old very fast Lack of clear development goals - ambiguous goals led to a lack of knowledge of what I needed to do to get to the next step in my career B2B clients only - majority of clients are traditional B2B (industrial/manufacturing) and are not exciting to work on
