Pros

I believe in the mission. There are opportunities to lean in new directions and move/advance within the organization. Progressive culture which is actively addressing key issues such as DEI. My position is a mix of office and fieldwork which is what I want.

Cons

Pay - I don't feel that pay is excellent. I took a small pay cut to come here. To be eligible for a dedicated workstation in the office, we have to commit to being there 3 days a week (once things go "back to normal," whenever that is...); I feel that for an environmental NGO we should be able to both provide an office space and allow more telework, maybe only require 2 days a week at the office, to encourage less fossil fuel use.
