Pros

Seven hours work days. More holidays than federal government. Very generous telecommuting policy. Good for work life balance.

Cons

Disturbing work assignments and people with petty attitude/behavior. Was requested by others including the team lead to change financial data without audit trails. Was yelled at by the team lead because my smile did not look right to him. Woman in the next cube constantly acting mean and angry. HR erroneously entered the wrong departure date for my employment.

Pros

Mission and people - both are awesome

Cons

Leadership is out of touch, lots of people jockeying for position of influence, will work you into the ground - so many burnt out colleagues - work/life balance is non-existent. Ego-driven leadership inconsistent with org values.

Pros

it's a non profit, so you won't be paying as much in taxes.

Cons

not great pay, terrible raises, people in higher levels don't feel the need to listen to their underlings, painful death by constant meeting, and a weird little penchant for deciding on what they need to do then back filling their data to come to that conclusion.
