Cons
Lack of diversity and support for advancement among women and minorities; they may say they will work towards changing it by creating internal groups etc. but they haven't done much in terms of actual hires. The senior program leaders in the main office were all white men and the state office was primarily men. Career growth within the organization could be better supported. Strong emphasis on hiring Ivy-league individuals. While recruiting highly educated staff is important, it only furthers the issues and real cultural divides between having a staff of elite, primarily white or privileged staff vs. achieving the conservation goals among less affluent/educated/privileged people. Internal politics is a problem.
