Great Organization - Department Dependent

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The organization as a whole takes care of their employees. They extended their condensed work week schedule indefinitely, which allows employees to take off every other Friday. Great benefits, great cause, great conservation projects!

Cons

Depending on the department - you may not be able to grow in your position and get a promotion. I have been told before that "sometimes there is no growth for your position", which is very discouraging, especially when you want to stay for the organization's mission.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We’re thrilled to hear that you feel supported at TNC while supporting our mission. I was very excited to see our Nature Friday pilot extend. It noticeably contributed to people's well-being and the ability to unplug from work. We have recruiting policies in place to ensure a culture that’s committed to promoting from within. It’s important to us as an organization that our employees have sufficient time acknowledge of opportunities. We also recognize that for some, a variety of roles across divisions are as impactful as a traditional linear approach. We appreciate your input and understand how that can be discouraging. We are looking forward to the work that our Learning and Development team is doing to create career pathways. We would love to hear about your experience and look forward to hearing how you feel about the progress in this area. Please contact us at recruiting@tnc.org.

Toxic management

Pros

Flexible hours, mostly friendly colleagues

Cons

Toxic management with narrowed mind. Don’t care about employees. Reporting never works here as they remove employees who disagree with them.
