      I was able to form meaningful individual relationships in spite of rigid corporatized environment that silos disciplines rather than encouraging innovation and collaboration.

      Cons

      Rigid corporate bureaucracy (in an institution of higher education), miles of obfuscation and red tape, disinterest in innovation, fundamentally inaccessible to neurodivergents, criminally understaffed in accessibility specialists at all levels, under-compensates graduate laborers.

      some upper mgmt have way overstayed their expiration date. when an IT/Infosec team is built around someone because they had been their early mainframe developer, that's not necessarily the leadership and inter-personal, and social skill set you need to lead a dept. But out of fear of change by leadership, this person was left in this role for years without any prior mgmt experience, nor exp in the IT/Security fields, and their personality was the opposite of what's required to lead a dept. they were in way over their head
