Does not value employees

Pros

TPW is a terrible place to work and does not value its employees. They set up shop in some of the most expensive areas but then pay their employees slave wages. These clients are paying over $500/mo for 2 20-minute workouts a week, yet they pay their employees barely over minimum wage. The studios are usually in office-type buildings and they are BLEAK. No amenities. If you ask where all of the money goes - they'll tell you "oh we spend so much money on marketing". PLEASE. They don't even give out holiday bonuses. Really? Not even a $5 Starbucks card? The owner is a quack job and you better believe he has a very expensive home in one of the most expensive parts of San Diego. Yet I could barely pay my rent. Go figure. STAY AWAY!!

Cons

Everything is a con with TPW

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. After reviewing our compensation plan, we have found it to be generous compared to other companies in our industry. Trainers are compensated a base pay above minimum wage and rewarded for performance. They are also provided opportunities to grow their income with commissions and bonuses leading to much higher wages. We do appreciate your candor and will take your feedback into consideration moving forward. If you would like to provide any additional information, please email dana.wiltshire@theperfectworkout.com.

Pros

Nothing comes to mind the is a pro.

Cons

Everything from their insurance to composition are the worst I have seen and they have this way of flipping everything back to you. You feel you should be compensated more.... well get more people to train. It is a MLM instead of a "company" even their nutrition is based on a MLM.

Thank you for your review. We apologize that we did not meet your expectations. The Perfect Workout offers a compensation plan based on performance with base pay, commission, and referral bonuses. After further research we have found it fair compared to other companies in the fitness industry. We are not a multi-level marketing company; we are a personal fitness training company. If you would like to provide further feedback, please email dana.wiltshire@theperfectworkout.com. We wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors!

Pros

Trainers build bonds with each other because we’re all treated terribly Clients are wonderful

Cons

When I started a few years ago, they seemed to really care about their employees and clients. I decided to leave because I felt completely unappreciated and blindsided by a company that has lost all the heart it once had as a small business. They try to overwork you and make you feel bad about yourself to make more money for them. You are getting paid minimum wage +/- a few dollars and they act as if you’re the issue, not their business model. Upper management couldn’t care less about the backbone of the company (the trainers) even though they are making a ridiculous amount of money. There’s no way they have that many overhead expenses that they can’t pay their trainers a liveable amount! Makes you wonder where the money is going to! They keep increasing the prices for clients and giving them less and less each time.
