Pros

Many great coworkers and clients. Very intense but beneficial workouts that only last for 20 minutes.

Cons

Management has poor communication with employees. During the holidays it slows down and so does your money. High turnover rate with their employees. Some people only stay here for a month and they leave due to the pay structure. Your a robot you repeat the same script over and over everyday to clients it gets tedious!!!

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your concern, and compensation is so important to our company that is by far our biggest expense. The average hourly rate in our company is currently $19.47. Since this is the average there are naturally trainers who make less than this and trainers who make more than this. Many trainers that are on the lower side of the $19.47 average tend to be in certification, which even though the hourly pay for certification is the current minimum wage rate, this is MUCH better than having to pay to get certified like you do with other personal training companies. Furthermore, our compensation is right in line with entry level pay for personal training companies around the country. In addition, it is concerning to us that you feel there is a lack of communication between management and the trainers. Each month you attend a Regional Meeting, at which the CEO gives a forecast of upcoming studio and region openings, as well as launches major new campaigns, announces important promotions, and highlights examples of the company’s core values, from amongst the trainers. We are always looking for more ways to better communicate with the trainers because it is of utmost importance to us that you feel empowered to do your job well.

Pros

The clients were the best! They loved it when you pushed them, and they worked hard to achieve their goals. Personal training is rewarding when you have good clients.

Cons

As much fun as it was working for the company, the low pay - even on a full schedule - I could not afford to live in Southern California with the money that I was taking home.

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback and apologize that you did not feel appropriately compensated for your time and work. We try to create as many opportunities as possible for our trainers to increase their income. Things like Staff Referrals, Client Referrals, Professional Development, and Nutrition Coaching opportunities are all programs put in place in part to assist and empower our trainers to succeed not only financially but also professionally. All of these things provide endless opportunity for additional income along with personal and professional growth. Our trainers feel empowered because there is a level of control they have over their own income. There is no limit on how many levels you can advance in our Professional Mastery Program. This program is great way to learn more about personal training which can help increase potential for promotions while increasing your income.

Pros

Apart from the awesome clients, one of the best qualities of this company is the presence of leadership who wants you to succeed and fellow trainers who are friendly and always willing to help. The tools are available to grow and improve at your job, and the regional manager was very accessible when questions or concerns arose. The schedule is set-up so that the trainers will typically work with the same clients each week, but there is a lot of flexibility to trade shifts with other trainers or for the clients to reschedule with other trainers. Company offers a base hourly pay rate with additional money earned based on the number of clients trained. Bonuses can be earned based on meeting goals and advancing in training programs.

Cons

Although there is much flexibility for changing schedules ahead of time, the nature of the job makes it difficult to have last-minute schedule changes or unplanned absences (there are clients waiting for you after all). Part of your success with your clients will be determined by how available you make yourself to respond to schedule changes/text messages/phone calls while not in the office. While it is never required to do these things on your own time, you realize that it's part of building trust and reliability with your clients, so most trainers stay available during their time off.
