Pros

- great culture in every studio. You are welcomed in warmly and feel the tightness of the team right from the beginning. - You are pushed to excel and to grow in your knowledge and education. You're also rewarded for doing so! - The leadership is great, you always have someone who is guiding you and making sure you are growing whether it be from a Facility Manager, Regional Manager, or even just another trainer. - The clients are historically very kind and great to work with. - Company values are always pointed back to and enforced within the team and studios. - Creativity is pushed and encouraged. They may not always go with your idea, but they do encourage you to come forward with ideas and solutions to current or even potential problems. - There is always opportunity to level up. Whether it be from education or a position. You always have opportunities to show to the leadership team your skills and assets. It might not be right away, but what you put in, you'll get out of this job. - When you make a mistake, it isn't the end of the world. In fact, instead of saying "well just don't do that again" they work with you on why it happened, how it could be done differently in the future, and actually take time to develop you rather than just a harsh reprimand. - I do believe that how this company handled Covid-19 was among the best ways to handle a pandemic. They sprinted into action on how to shift our entire program online, they celebrated those who took extra time in developing essentially a brand new product, they worked hard to ensure each and every client was cared for in the way that client needed. No one was denied a "hold" or a refund and everyone was given the opportunity to try our new product for free.

Cons

- It is slow at first in making enough financially. It takes a little while to gain your way through the levels of advancement they offer. - Some of the requirements for advancement in levels are a little difficult, but can be done.

Pros

Pretty much everyone lives the core values: Teamwork, Candor, Integrity, Kaizen & World Class Customer Service. The clients and my team mates are the best! My regional manager is invested in my growth as a person, a Facility Manager, a leader and a trainer. The CEO and upper management are always looking at how they can make the trainers and the clients quality of life better.

Cons

No PTO yet- they're workin on it though!

Pros

Can pretty much make your own hours. Nice coworkers.

Cons

No investment in trainers continued education, this is more of a sales job than a Personal Trainer job. Pressure from Regional Management to get refferals and getting inactive clients to become active clients. The company doesn't invest in its self, each studio is left to its on for studio upkeep. If another trainer refers a client into the studio for their "Free" introduction session and you are the one who trains the client and gets the client to purchase a package of workouts you the trainer gets nothing for the referral but the trainer who referred them in get the referral bonus. Upper management pretends to actually care about your ideas and needs, however keep your ideas to your self because upper management will take your ideas and implement them and you will get no credit. If you are a Personal Trainer and looking to train clients and actually help them achieve their fitness goals this is not the place for you. Also 90% of the trainers that work at The Perfect Workout are NOT national certified Personal Trainers, they are certified to teach only The Perfect Workout "Slow Motion Strength Training". The company also holds trainers responsible for client weight loss to be able to get their bonuses however the company has the client sign a client agreement that the company takes no responsibility for client weight loss. So the company keeps its money weither the client losses weight or not. However the trainers gets no bonus unless they produce a 10lbs weight loss. Also, most all studios are located in old abandoned locations or old malls that have little to no foot traffic keeping rent for the studios low. The company doesn't invest in its studios or trainers. Also, their are no real opportunities of advancement with this company. The most one could be is a Facility Manager (studio manager) and that position is just a glorified trainer. 90% of the clients are senior citizens.

We appreciate your feedback and we apologize you had a negative experience working for The Perfect Workout. We strive to create several opportunities for our employees to grow professionally and personally, including promotion and career advancement opportunities. We are always looking for ways to improve, which is why one of our company core values is Kaizen, the philosophy of continuous improvement. Furthermore, selling our services is an important aspect for us to successfully complete our mission, Revolutionize the Way People Exercise. We provide you with substantial sale tactics and training for you to become a successful personal trainer during certification. You’re right that most of our personal trainers don’t hold a national certification since we don’t require it. As you mentioned, we certify our personal trainers in house, so they are a Certified Personal Trainer with The Perfect Workout. This allows us to provide all the tools our personal trainers need to successfully train our clients through our unique slow-motion strength training method.
