Pros

Firstly, the workout really delivers what we promise to clients. We improve thier health and fitness, and they love us for it. That feels wonderful and makes going to work always exciting and fun. You also get to do the workout for free, which is like adding a hefty amount of bonus incentive to each paycheck. Secondly, Management really does listen to the trainers. I was a trainer for a year and a half, and then I have been in an HQ capacity for over six months. Sometimes the change is slow because the leaders want to make the best choices and don't want to make a quick change that may not work well longterm, but I know because I have been in the room, they hear your complaints and they work to fix problems. That is wonderful and rare in the service industry. The last plus is also rare for the service industry. The Professional Mastery Program is an amazing, unlimited opportunity for you to learn and grow as a person. We have learning units written for us by a famous leader in business development, and taking those courses can change your life and the direction of your future. In summary, you benefit by helping wonderful people every day in your job, you can be instrumental in changing anything that you would like to see improved about the company, and you can feed your brain on company time and use that experience for merit raises. You will not find a better personal training positive anywhere. I know, because the company did research.

Cons

I started working here with a new shift, which means I had no clients. It was difficult. The pay was quite low, and I was depressed. But then I got hungry, and hungry people work harder. I worked harder, and a year later I had as many workouts on my schedule as the trainer who had been at that studio the longest. I had a company-wide reputation and was offered to work outside the studio where I can do more things every day to help all the studios and trainers reach their potential. So, actually my con was a pro. Sorry!

Pros

WOW. Where to start. I have been on the hunt for a company where I felt at home. Let me simply say that I have literally been in a constant "best mood possible" since I started with The Perfect Workout. From my video interview on I knew this was the place I wanted to be. I am so thankful to the entire Dallas team for literally welcoming me with open arms and making me feel right where I should be from Hello. They have made everything such a convenience and are always there for you. Everyone is so positive and great to be around, it's no wonder we have so many clients. If I could say anything to future employees, it would be to find the positive in any situation, over communicate with your team, and get ready to become part of the most amazing "work" family you will ever find. I GUARANTEE IT.

Cons

The only con I could probably put is I don't have any friends that are jobless, because I would tell them to come join the family!!

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your concern, and compensation is so important to our company that is by far our biggest expense. The average hourly rate in our company is currently $19.47. Since this is the average there are naturally trainers who make less than this and trainers who make more than this. Many trainers that are on the lower side of the $19.47 average tend to be in certification, which even though the hourly pay for certification is the current minimum wage rate, this is MUCH better than having to pay to get certified like you do with other personal training companies. Furthermore, our compensation is right in line with entry level pay for personal training companies around the county. We also offer many bonus incentives including: Staff Referrals, Client Referrals, Professional Development, and Nutrition Coaching opportunities. We strive to give our employees as many options as possible to grow financially AND professionally.
