A Great Place to Work

Pros

The Robbins Company has been more than just a place of work for me over the last decade. It's a small company and I consider many of my co-workers my friends as well. Robbins offers a lot: --Low drama work environment --Friendly coworkers --Management that trusts you to get the job done on your own --Management that is open to new ideas --A dynamic workplace where you're always doing something new every day

Cons

--I saw some reviews on here disparaging the pay. However, I think overall it's quite good considering our amazing benefits package. I pay less than $100 a month for great insurance for my entire family. Doctor visits are a $20 copay and that's it. We also have a wellness program with gym reimbursements and fitness challenges throughout the year. I've talked to other people at other companies about their benefits and they pale in comparison. --I suppose if you are a person that very much likes routine and doing the same tasks every day, knowing what to expect, etc. then this might not be the company for you. But I like being challenged, so it's the perfect place for me and anyone else who is similarly inclined.

Good and the bad

Pros

Good people to work with and for what they do is just astonishing what they build. Every contract that they take on is a custom tunnel boring machine that fits the customers needs

Cons

Hard to advance if you are good at what you do. Raises have not happened in awhile along with bonuses. Financially unstable. A lot of contracts have not been paid off that is owed to the Robbins Company resulting in materials being put on credit hold cause they are not making the money from the contracts.

Disconnect with Upper Management

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good benefits, wellness program, flexible schedule.

Cons

Lack of recognition by some managers, which results in low employee morale. Too much work for little pay. Lack of communication by upper management on the financial status of the company. Company is unable to pay vendors, so the vendors suffer.
