Pros

Great sales training. Great materials for learning and developing skill set.

Cons

Same president and CEO that started the company 35 years ago. They need to rebrand their logo and website to stay competitive and attractive. Getting attention from prospects is the name of the game. They need to understand people will be stand offish until they do their own research ONLINE and make a decision before even answering the phone or responding to an email. DIGITAL PRESENCE NEEDS TO BE CURRENT, ATTRACTIVE, AND INFORMATIONAL. There is a disconnect between senior leadership and the clients. This is all aside from their actual performance. A smaller firm needs to deliver at higher percentage than its larger competitors. However, their ability to attract better talent stems back to their DIGITAL PRESENCE. Candidates will also do their research on companies trying to recruit them. Only then will a firm be given somewhat of an open ear and open mind to the "talk game"

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate candid communication from employees both current and former. We are proud of the sales training program that you mention, and we are delighted to share that that program is only being further enhanced. We are also pleased to share that we have partnered with an outstanding firm and are in the process of creating a new website that will not only be attractive and informational, but will also be a central access hub for a wealth of candidate and client tools. We elected to take this on after the successful implementation of a new, cutting-edge staffing software system that has also proven valuable for clients and candidates. At the heart of all of our developments - over the past 35 years and for the next 35+ - has been, and will be, our desire to create an easy, valuable, and efficient experience for our client partners and assignment employees. Internally, we take a highly collaborative approach - from executive management to each of our staffing center offices - to ensure that we achieve just that. Again, thank you for your review. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

Pros

Salem offered a lot of sales training. Large sales territories, and they already had a good client base of companies that they worked with. They have been in business for a long time, which helped when making calls into organizations... the name was already a familiar one. Good reputation in the industry.

Cons

Making B2B cold calls can be difficult, in general. The sales cycle is longer than some other organizations'. However, Salem has a really supportive environment, so I felt like I was able to succeed, despite the more complex sale.

Pros

The leadership team, from the CEO down, is made up of exemplary people who make an investment in every person hired onto Salem. Competitive pay and benefits? Sure... but that's a drop in the bucket compared to all the other reasons why I love working here. The Salem Group has fostered a true team environment where creative ideas and morale flourish.

Cons

The clock. Most days it doesn't seem possible that 5:00 can arrive so quickly.

Thank you for your feedback! 5pm does come awfully quickly - because yes, it's true, we're always very busy! But, that's part of what the people who work here love about it. Again, thank you for your kind words. We appreciate them!
