Pros

Great, close-knit group of people working with pride in a tough industry environment. As a newbie, you'll learn a lot from working here. Work hard and you'll be valued.

Cons

Newspaper industry constantly downsizing, so it's understaffed. And it's a newspaper, so expect your hours and days off to change.

Pros

the people are wonderful. very supportive environment through co-workers. Pay and time off is very good

Cons

too many managers, goals are short sited and not often well thought through. Must watch back at all time- sometimes you think management has your back but they don't

Pros

For decades the Ledger had been the top media in New Jeresy. This dominant position meant better than avg. pay and benefits for employees.

Cons

Since the Great Recession and slow demise of print media generally the Ledger has recently combined with NJ.Com and become NJ Advance Media. Everything changed with this.
