Pros

The day is a 6 hour workday. On minimum days, we get out 1 hour earlier in which we get paid only for 5 hours. Also, on holidays, when there is no school, we don’t get paid. The Christmas break has been tough for me because I got so many days off without pay. When you get back to work after the break, you have to wait 3 weeks until you get a paycheck. You only work the school year from when you get hired until May 30th.

Cons

You get 40 hours of vacation time which you can take any time of the year. You get training from looking at videos.

Thank you for sharing your experience and being open about the financial challenges that can come with a school-based schedule. We understand how unpaid breaks can be difficult, and we appreciate your feedback regarding additional work opportunities during school closures as we continue exploring ways to better support our paraprofessionals.

Pros

- Remote work - Could be good pay if you hit goals

Cons

- Unrealistic goals - Management struggles with processes - This job would be really hard to succeed in if you aren't an over achiever - Minimal training or follow up - Not clear path for advancement
