Pros

Excellent displays in there stores to show off there Tile,Stone,Granite,Marbles with detail in all of them. Plus excellent architectual installtion display for the home owner to explane there install process. Having all of the backshelf items for a complete job as far install goes again easy to sell a complete job from start to finish.

Cons

having to work 6 days a week and over 60 hrs a week are required, instead of building a back log with your costumers as far as contractor go and it becomes a free for all with the sales people in that store. But i guess that corp for you rules are rules. Doesn't mean i have to like them

Pros

Can learn about the tile industry through the Tile Shop knowledge base.

Cons

1. Product line has poor to medium quality. Inventory is often on long lead times that negate sales opportunities. 2. Management and their compensation policies are punitive and promote a combative, competitive team atmosphere. 3. You are not provided any chairs to sit in to provide follow up or related required sales tasks and services. The only time you are permitted to sit is when you are with customers. 4.Tile Shops are self clean facilities. That means you clean public toilet rooms! 5. You are expected to load, fork lift material since warehouse people only work minimum daytime shift and even then you are expected to perform their duties (tile counts, manual help, etc.)

Pros

You get paid for what you do. If you can hustle,constantly learn and take great care of every customer you can, you will make great money. My first 5 yrs I earned atleast 5-10k more then the year before due to repeat business and higher selling skill level. Great benefits package also.

Cons

retail hours, a little tough in the beginning to get leads going but it pays out in the long run usually within a few months. You will work most holidays but definately pays out because we are very busy.
