Pros
Basically money is the best thing about this job. When sales are good you can make a lot of money, however, slower months are impossible to survive. If you are a hard worker and a good seller than you can move up the corporate ladder.
Cons
You work at least 45-50hrs a week - 6 days a week. The job is physically demanding. No one buys just one bag of thinset or mud for a project, so if you are loading up a customer you wind up lifting an average of 200lbs of setting materials alone. While they promote from within, if you don't want to manage a store there is no other options for good employees. Because the salary is 100% commission based, you need to constantly watch co-workers and your own assistant manager and manager sales numbers to make sure they are not stealing sales. There is definitely a cutthroat attitude that is not for the feint of heart.
