Pros

My colleagues are the best part of this job--I work with the smartest, funniest, most creative people. During my interview I was told "we want you to do the best work of your life here," and management truly gives the resources and freedom to do it.

Cons

As everyone says, the benefits could use improvement.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We cannot say it enough- the people behind The Post make The Post. Glad you're team embodies that! Thanks for the feedback on the benefits. We're always looking for innovative ways to expand our benefits (for example, providing free coffee for the DC office recently and local deals to coffee shops/restaurants). We'll continue to work hard to provide great benefits. Thanks again for writing a review!

A Posture of Gratefulness

Pros

I am an aspiring journalist. To be an employee and have my name associated with The Washington Post, one of the most prestigious publications in the country, if not the world, at the beginning of my career is such a blessing.

Cons

It's a business; and business can be tough and at times messy. You will have to know (or quickly learn) how to properly advocate for yourself because very few will do it for you.
