Pros

Work Flexibility Vacation and sick time

Cons

No long term/short term plan, basically no plan at all for the company Too much internal competition which only leads to overlap, backstabbing and the best employees leaving which only hurts the overall company Mediocre employees are rewarded, top employees are rewarded with doing mediocre employees work Very low pay increases even for top employees

Pros

The Washington Post is a fantastic brand that people recognize globally. It's nice to be able to mention one's employer and instantly have people "get" where they work and what the mission of the place is.

Cons

The Washington Post is a storied old company in a very tough industry. They've not been as quick to innovate as many competitors, and consequently they've lost their edge.
