      Pros

      They are very dedicated to customer satisfaction and offer mandatory customer service training for all employees. They offer fun company meetings to help build teams & employee relationships.

      Cons

      The salary at YMCA is very low, but probably comparible to other non-profit groups. The opportunity for advancement is limited. In the past there was regular communication from the top facility manager to every employee, since the new manager took over there is much less.

      Pros

      Full time employees receive a free family membership to the YMCA, and part time employees receive a free personal membership. They pay fairly well compared to other local employers and their 401k program is amazing.

      Cons

      They do not disclose corporate problems that will effect employees. They expect complete loyalty from their employees, but do not return it.

      Pros

      One can help needy people and have the sense of doing something good in life. Recognized work experience when leaving for a better job elsewhere.

      Cons

      Irrational management at times, in a permanently changing environment. The management is always right, even if employees make justified complaints. Low salary vs. high demands. Great turnover, still no grassroots research on behalf of highest management, to improve employee satisfaction.
