Rotten to the Core

Pros

There are some good people that worked there. The health insurance was amazing then. I do not know about now since Zappos was bought by Amazon.

Cons

It might look awesome on the outside but really it's rotten to the core. To move up in the company it's all about who you are doing. As in who you are having sex with and going out on a Wednesday night and coming home at 3 am. If you have a brain and want to move up the ladder but have a family at home, forget about a career there. You will be stuck on the phones answering questions. Also, it was a very cult-like environment. Don't drink the Kool-aid

Pros

Amazing humans Life-work balance Interesting projects Full time remote work On-site campus is pretty sweet Freedom to explore and suggest new solutions for existing problems

Cons

No bonuses or other incentives other than base salary Oversight of Amazon has killed the company culture High turn over of employees because perks and pay are not at all competitive Health insurance is lacking There is no clear goal to where the company is headed
