Pros

Was previously a wonderful place to work with great benefits and good work-life balance. My co-workers are still the best part of the job.

Cons

The Amazon integration has sucked the last remaining bit of soul from what Zappos was. Merchandising and planning leadership implementing so much busy work and poor strategies but are too slow to pivot until it is too late. Low pay for industry and no bonus structure.

They are Trying but it's not what it once was

Pros

they hire for culture, or used to, so most of the people are really cool. The benefits package is pretty good too.

Cons

Since the CEO Tony stepped back then passed away, the company has been through a handful of executives. They can't seem to find their groove which leads to endless strategy changes, bringing in people who are not a culture fit just to make money, and ultimately losing what was special about the company to begin with.
