Pros

I worked at Third Bridge for five years, joining in my first role post university. The skills I learned at Third Bridge have proven transferable to other sectors - I still apply learning on a daily basis in my current role as COO of a children's charity. I would highly recommend the organisation as a graduate role out of university, and generally as a great employer. The ability to take on high levels of responsibility at an early stage of your career is unusual and I loved the dynamism and fun environment that we worked in. Pros: Fast paced culture Great learning environment and supportive of individual career ambitions Very supportive of staff taking on additional work cross-organisation and letting people try to solve problems/try new approaches Solutions-focused workplace Good salary/benefits package Willingness of senior management to provide career advice and engage with all members of staff Exposure to senior industry specialists Exposure to clients across finance Camaraderie - great people Social activities Ski trip!

Cons

It would have been helpful to have more formal structures to allow for more inter-team work cross geographies - at scale this would help international team cohesion. I believe this has improved since I left with more team offsites and structure etc now in place

Pros

A job to start your career Basic salary 401K matching Health insurance Fun parties

Cons

Culture is toxic because most of middle management does not have experience in number of years or prior roles at other companies - becomes very tunnel vision and almost like cult where you are successful if you think the same way. Senior management refers to staff as a “machine”, so juniors are literally seen as a cog in the machine unless you are one of the favorites who brown nose. Good if you are starting off your career as a basic job, but many people end up having trouble finding a new job so stay at the company for a while unhappy.

Pros

- Dedicated pool of engineers (great capital there) - Committed product owners

Cons

- Exec sponsors need to let their talented staff do their jobs! - There's a definite silo culture, departments do not talk - The organisation favours people that say yes who don't speak up - The PeopleOps a.k.a. HR does what its told and has little if any objectivity - Witnessed repeated firsthand bullying within the organisation - There's many single points of failure - Lack of integrity with the SLT - Senior managers are afraid to speak up and basically tow the line because there afraid of losing their jobs, ad nauseam - Getting team training and investing in new tools was continually pushed back - Very unclear direction from business and engineering leaders CIO/CTA - Top heavy management style - Hi churn rates of attrition
