Pros

They didn't have a problem with hiring family members.

Cons

They transferred me to another position that was supposed to come with a huge salary increase. After three weeks I discovered the move was lateral with no increase in income.

Treats employees like the ugly step-child

Pros

Free food (sometimes) from the brand's restaurants, some great people

Cons

Pretty much everything else. I worked at the corporate office for a little over 2 years and in that time they put me through 6 different bosses: 2 were straight up fired, 2 resigned (1 was within a week after he realized what he was getting into), and the other two have been fired since I left. Key word - fired. This company loves to set unrealistic expectations with a very short duration for you to meet them, or else you get the boot. I witnessed this with too many people to count, across various departments. Also, they pay peanuts. I have literally more than doubled my salary since I left them 4 years ago.

As the Company grows we are committed to creating a comfortable, positive, and collaborative working environment for all associates. We value and consider all feedback and will continue to find ways improve but would like to address a couple of your concerns. As Thompson continues to grow we continue to look for ways to enhance our compensation & benefit programs. We have improved on Training and Developing our managers and associates. Pros

The comic relief one experiences reading the HR-manufactured positive reviews and knowing who posted them.

Cons

That an organization would have to stoop so low and fabricate positive reviews is pathetic and speaks volumes about the type of people at the corporate office. True leaders would be committed to finding solutions to correct organizational deficiencies as opposed to resorting to a social media campaign for the shallow purpose to get their ratings up. Even in HR's hollow responses, there's no solution to the issues posed: no plan to address the abysmal benefits, the hostile culture, or the extreme amount of turnover. Voicing your concerns to the inept HR department or management will put you in the HOV lane for termination. Alas, we all know that no one in that office will ever take any substantive action to address their excessive turnover or its dysfunctional culture b/c currently there's no financial incentive to care (yet). Job seekers: do not be fooled. Save yourself the headache and disappointment and look elsewhere b/c you can certainly do better. Consider yourselves warned.
