Pros
Thrasher has assembled more honest, hard-working folks in one place than any other place I've worked (and I've worked a lot of places). The environment is professional and authentic, and I feel trust, respect and genuine kinship with the people I work with directly and indirectly.
Thrasher invests in its people, and are genuinely interested in helping each of us be the best they can be - through job training, coaching and frank, open dialogue between employees and managers. I've been with the company for two years and can say with confidence that decisions made by the leadership demonstrate integrity and adhere to the mission, vision and purpose that have been laid out for everyone. They talk the talk and walk the walk.
Thrasher demonstrates that real innovation can happen in any industry if the leaders have the vision and commitment to see it through. I am optimistic for the future of the company, and feel blessed to have found a place where I can do good work that is valued.
The most significant aspect missing from this environment is drama. Conflicts are dealt with assertively, rationally and diplomatically. The organization/hierarchy is relatively flat and transparent, with opportunities for employees and managers from different departments to interact more often and minimize the development of 'silos' between departments. Disagreement and debate is accepted - even encouraged, but malicious, dishonest or destructive behavior is dealt with swiftly.
Cons
The coffee is pretty awful.
