Invaluable experience for a new grad with a psychology degree

Cons

Unsafe, poor staffing (not just due to Covid) in the years I worked there they never ever got a handle on it and just when they did they pushed away their best employees. Toxic work environment, unsupportive management, conservative, outdated ideals on managements behalf. Very few employees seemed to put patient care first and if you were one of them you seemed to have more issues brought to you by management.

Pros

Great co-workers, most are friendly and hardworking. It's never a boring day. Occasionally received free employee meals

Cons

Management is not helpful at all. Pay isn't great for the amount of work you will have to do. Don't expecct everyday to be "normal" or go as planned, always expect the unexpected.

Supportive co-workers, face paced, free lunch if census over 100

Cons

No support from management. No security. Always short staffed therefore extra work for current employees. Constantly assigned high case loads, not able to spend much time with patients.
