Pros
- Fast paced environment means that there's always plenty of work to do.
- Incredible community of people who are dedicated to what they're doing and all excellent communicators.
- Thrive's policy of "compassionate directness" is very welcome in the Tech industry, and enables clear communication across business areas.
- Continuous deployment policy means that your work will see users, and soon, which is a great feeling and gives a great sense of purpose and motivation.
- Your journey is what you make of it, you have many opportunities to learn new skills and work across multiple business areas
- Fully remote with option to work in-office (as of early 2022) which is great given the current climate and for personal reasons
- Developers are highly encouraged to take "T-Time" on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where no meetings are to be scheduled so you can focus on work/coding without distractions
Bonus: A lot of people at Thrive have really cool hobbies and interests outside of work that they are encouraged to share in various slack channels which is great for community building, especially considering that the vast majority of Thrive work's fully remote.
Cons
- It is very client focused so occasionally priorities can arise that will pull you away from day-to-day, which can be interesting but I can understand some people not enjoying.
