Pros
Worked at the TC OAC for almost five years. Found management supported my work while allowing me the freedom to do my job as I saw fit. For a person who prefers autonomy in their work I came away from TC OAC very happy. Two years since leaving I still consider myself fortunate to have worked there and maintain good ties with many of its employees
Cons
Public defense isn't for everybody and people should know that going in. It's often taxing and rarely easy. For those who wish to be engaged in their work though (vs. simply hoping to make it through the day) it's a career choice that can be very satisfying
