Supporting such a diverse set of technology and customers will make you smarter faster.

Cons

Burn out. If you enjoy on call rotations so intense you literally can’t commute to the office, or mow the lawn, or get to the grocery store the week you’re on call, you’ll be fine. If you enjoy constantly being tapped for after hours work because there just aren’t sufficient experienced engineers staffed 24x7 to handle it, you’ll enjoy that too. Forget about work-life balance. It won’t happen here. Be sure to use all your PTO/floating holidays before you leave because you won’t get a dime back for those hours. You also can’t carry hours between years. Use it or lose it.
