Pros

The company is exactly what you think it would be like - a bunch of hard-working nice folks. Very little drama, politics and lots of smart, out-of-the-box thinking (at least on the exec, R&D, marketing, sales, etc. level.)

Cons

HR policies/leadership is ridiculous. The rest of the company is advancing forwards while HR is dragging the company backwards - from not being allowed to wear hats indoors to not offering competitive salaries or modern day benefits (such as being able to work remotely).

Pros

Great products and mostly very caring people. Some areas are world class while others are struggling.

Cons

Expectations of employees are not clearly communicated. Employees get in trouble by crossing lines that they didn't even know existed.

Pros

The highlight of the job is the interaction with the tens of thousands of visitors that come in each year. State of the art visitor center.

Cons

The work environment is hostile, new hires don’t last but for a few weeks or months, and leave. Hiring staff is very difficult when you have less than ideal leadership. With the recent transition on the Human Resources team, this place has gone down the tube. The new is leading the discrimination and hostile environment. We are threatened if we want to talk with other members of the People team. This place will be Union in a short time, and then we will be treated respectfully.
