Pros

Great products and farming practices. From a consumer perspective, it is something to be proud to spend your money on. The farmers are really the best part of the company. Good pay and benefits.

Cons

Although this is a "smaller" company, this is the most political company that I have ever worked for. There are clear hierarchies and "status" within the company. They have a record of doing a lot of constructive discharges, meaning forcing employees to resign rather than be terminated. If they want you gone, they will find a reason to get you out. They advertise that they offer lots of inclusive training and employee development, but it is really not true if you start talking to those working there. There is very minimal support for any development plan and it is difficult to get internal sponsors to help with the development plans. There are so many smart employees that are willing to grow with them, but if someone with the "status" doesn't like them, your're gone.

Pros

The companies benefits are amazing. PTO and sick time, day off for birthday, paid holidays. The people on the floor are amazing and they are what make that company worth working for. The CEO has done an amazing job taking this company to where it currently is.

Cons

Upper management is clueless. The visitor center is an after thought and it shows. They are unable to hire qualified people and settle for the 10th candidate after they are turned down by all of their other options. They do not understand their business and have no idea the demographic that actually attends. The visitor center is at the mercy of marketing putting it at odds with running a fluid business. There are so many people hoops and levels of approval to get the most simple items approved. The working environment is horrible and borderline hostile. Everyone is looking to sabotage the others to get ahead, they preach team work but this place is truly every person for themselves. I have never worked anywhere with so much aggression towards peers and subordinates. People who shouldn’t be there are there because of family in high places and the entrenched problems of the staff working in fear of certain people will never be resolved. I have never worked for someone who spends so much time actively ignoring everything the employees say, then asks you ten minutes later to reexplain everything. This place also finds favorite people and if you are not in that group expect to be out of a job quickly. Honestly just stay away. If you come from a proper business and company, you will walk out in under a year. This place is so disorganized. They preach these core values but they are all lip service. Unless you want your soul to die stay away. Also, this place violates so many labor laws it’s unvelievable that they haven’t been fined or investigated.

Pros

Newly opened office with an open office concept. Extensive team collaboration. CEO is very friendly and acknowledges most employees.

Cons

Other Executives are stand-offish and unfriendly at times. Clickish environment, issues aren't taken seriously. Parking options aren't the best for the winter months. HR tries to control the office and are very unwelcoming and condescending at times.
