Pros
Salary was in-line with competition
Cons
Executive management, especially the "CEO" Perse Faily. EMN8 is funded by a group of venture capitalist who are playing office. There doesn't appear to be any true managerial skills between them, particularly Perse Faily and it has a trickle down effect. I think she is driven to be a CEO but could not be a worse one busying herself with analytical work that should be done by associates, as it is in most VC firms. The benefit side and salary is good, but the atmosphere both in San Diego and in Los Angeles is depressing. I assume that it's this way at most of there portfolio companies. I know they have one in Phoenix. Can only assume that this, as with all of their companies, is one big tax write off for Mr. Sid R. Bass.
