It is fun and upbeat.

Cons

Drama, all the managers talked crap about the employees because they seem to be stuck in a highschool mentality. Most of the employees talked crap about everyone else well cause they are in highschool. Tillys looks like a fun place to work but it is filled with drama. That’s what makes it such a horrible place to work, I ended up not showing up to my last day because I just couldn’t take one more day. And then I got a notice in the mail that said I had been fired because I was better out of retail, even though I made sales goals, got people to sign up for rewards and did all the shipment stuff. I felt extremely under appreciated

The only pro I can think of is the meager 20% off on clothes and shoes. Also, getting to wear jeans to work is nice.

Cons

Tillys could be a great place for your first job, but I wouldn’t ever recommend going into management. You will only get paid a couple dollars more an hour than entry level associates and the expectations are ridiculous. Also, expect to deal with very immature teenagers (both employees and customers) and never receiving any support from upper management. There is very little room for growth and even if you get promoted, it really isn’t worth it.
