Pros

You were able to apply some creativity to changing fixtures, walls, tables, windows and mannequins. (with some instructions and directions from the corporate office)

Cons

The pay was horrible. I worked for Tillys for three years and barely had over a $1.60 raise. As an employee that was full time and completely responsible for the entire visual presentation of the store you would think the pay would be better, not below $10.

Pros

Hours are great if you like waking up early. Lots to learn and learn how to lead a team.

Cons

Terrible pay, no paid holidays or bonuses (while the rest of management does), hours are tiring(sometimes starting st 4am), taken advantage of my management. Way too much responsibility for the terrible pay.

Pros

I was the in store merchandiser and it was fun to have the freedom to merchandise the entire store. This is a great position if you like styling mannequins and driving sales through merchandising the displays.

Cons

The management is terrible. Rude on a daily basis. When I would ask questions I would get an eye roll. My regional visual manager was a horrible person, but she was probably just unhappy with her job and took it out on the store team. I felt demoralized throughout the 3 months I worked there by in store management and district management. I witnessed associates gossiping and bullying other associates and when I brought it to managements attention I was told to mind my business. The pay was bad and the horrible management could not motivate the team to do an adequate job. Often I had to remerch the store and recover as I went because the closing team would get lazy and leave it for me. The discount was a joke, I felt like I couldn't afford the stuff I was selling.
