Pros

Great store, has a very wide variety of name brand clothes, and also their brand "Full Tilt" the music is great and the employees are all very nice and helpful (at least at my store)

Cons

HORRIBLE communication between management and sales associates! There is NO structure in the scheduling whatsoever. You're lucky to get 4.5-9 hours a week working here, they hire a ton of employees and then only give them a few hours so they'll spend their entire paycheck at their store. You only get a 20% discount so it doesn't take much to spend a $100 (give or take) check since everything is overpriced anyways minus the shoes and the Levis (no discount on Levis). The managers expect you to have "excellent" product knowledge and to know where everything in the store is but they don't give enough hours for anyone to really know much since they move stuff around in the store every week. You're NEVER acknowledged if you're doing a good job with sales, but if your ADS (average dollar sale) is a little bit down then you get yelled at to get it up higher. There seems to be no advancement opportunities at all to top it off, so even if you're doing an exceptional job, you're still going to get paid $8.00 per hour (min wage in California) and most likely won't be up for any promotions anytime soon. Why should we work SO hard on doing a good job and boosting sales and our ADS when there's no advancement opportunities or much chance of getting a raise? I would NOT recommend working here to ANYONE. It's not even worth the gas it would take you to drive to work.

Pros

you can make alot of cool friends and your introduced to cute (cheap/expensive) clothes. durring the winter/ summer season you get pretty good hours.

Cons

durring the other seasons you will not get any hours, 4 hours a week. then they expect you to get more product knowledge but its like you dont pay us enough for it. it really depends on management though. i have 4 managers and 2 out them do not do anything but stand in the middle of the store and tell you to work harder/faster. they put heavly unessary work load on you, tillys 6 steps, 10-20 enter to wins, recover your section perfectly, and to meet all sales goals. it really depends on management because they can make it unbearable. defidently favoritisms with managers where you will get written up for something that a friend of the manager can get away with. most unbearable thing is is when manager calls thier employees stupid/ idiot it they leave something out. any little detail who you will get written up for.
