Pros

Absolutely nothing positive to say.

Cons

My four years at Tipalti were, without exaggeration, some of the most frustrating and disheartening years of my career. Despite being a consistently high-performing sales rep who regularly went the extra mile—even whilst dealing with significant personal challenges—I was repeatedly made to feel undervalued, unsupported, and entirely replaceable. One of the lowest points for me personally was being expected to work during my paternity leave. Instead of being given the time and space to support my family, I was chased to close a deal that I had already put considerable effort into. I ended up completing the work, delivering on everything asked of me, and even presenting company-wide on multiple occasions about the “fantastic job” I had done. Yet, despite all of that, I was ultimately not paid the commission for that deal. It was an incredibly demoralising experience and left me feeling exploited at a time when I should have been focusing on my family. From the outset, it was evident that Tipalti does not prioritise or genuinely respect its salespeople. Commission was a constant source of frustration: payments were routinely far lower than what I believed I had rightfully earned, and there was a glaring lack of transparency or urgency when concerns were raised. No matter how much I contributed to the team, the attitude seemed to be that my efforts were expected, not appreciated. Another infuriating aspect of my time there was the debacle surrounding my share purchase. I attempted—twice—to buy my shares, sent the money, chased multiple times, and still ended up being informed that it was “not possible to extend” the deadline. The sheer lack of accountability and the complete absence of internal coordination were astonishing. It was an appallingly mismanaged process that ultimately cost me the opportunity altogether. No apology. No responsibility taken. No solution offered. In my opinion, Tipalti is poorly run at almost every level, particularly when it comes to supporting the people who actually generate revenue. Sales reps are treated as disposable rather than as skilled professionals. During my time there, I saw capable colleagues burn out, morale nosedive, and countless talented individuals leave simply because leadership would not invest in or listen to the employees keeping the company afloat. If you are considering working here—don’t. Not if you value fair compensation, clear communication, competent leadership, or a company that actually cares about its staff. My experience was consistently disappointing, discouraging, and demoralising, and I would not recommend Tipalti to anyone who expects professionalism, respect, or even the most basic organisational competence.
