If I could take my team and go to some other company, I would without a second thought. This place has been going downhill faster and faster in the years I've been here. C-suite is OBSESSED with growth at any cost, even getting into other business lines that have completely different needs from what Tire Discounters knows. Instead of investing in the infrastructure needed to support existing stores, they just keep piling on more problems and exceptions onto systems that couldn't handle what we had BEFORE this buying spree. There is no training or support for stores. Onboarding is an absolute joke. There are no manuals for the software we use. The helpline isn't even trained to help. We're using cut rate software not built for several of the business lines. No discernable research is going into purchasing new business lines/ models. The office is getting ground down more and more under the weight of the new workload when many departments were barely treading water before. How are the stores supposed to do their jobs well when there isn't even basic, standardized support? How is the office meant to run when they're getting blindsided by figuring out how to manage the backend of whole new businesses while keeping the Jenga of our existing systems from falling apart? Management finally gave everyone some additional PTO, but people can't take it because there isn't anyone to cover their work that is keeping some super specific, business critical operation running. Field managers are working 70-80 hours a week, even on days the stores are closed, and many people in HQ are there right beside them.
