Fun, fast paced, good benefits

Cons

Topgolf claims that they love to promote from within. However, they leave high level positions vacant for months on end - Executive Chef, Director of Instruction, Hospitality Manager, and more, while there are people within Topgolf qualified and eager for the growth opportunity passed up, or not even allowed to interview. Very little feedback or guidance is given, if any, to people who want to be promoted. And no valid reasons on why they aren't promoted. However, they'll promote bartenders and bayhosts to Hospitality Managers, who don't come near meeting the "5 years restauraunt management experience" required (too many times to count this has happened.) Long hours, little to no recognition for excellent work. Low workplace morale - due to everyone overworked, and sooo many people quitting for better pay, or better opportunities.

Fun work environment. Great benefits, Good people + company takes care of associates Lots of room for growth Topgolf does a great job of giving associates a sense of pride in their job. The core values are everything you want to hear. I love Topgolf and enjoy going to work every day.

Cons

Bad communication between managers. Part of the Topgolf way is "No fuzzy agreements." However, sometimes the whole place seems like one big fuzzy agreement. Managers are constantly contradicting each other. The clientele is quite often people who do not tip at all. In 10 years of bartending I've never seen anything this bad. We're lucky to make 10% of our sales on any given night, and it has nothing to do with the service. Hennessy may as well automatically print the receipt without a tip line. Enough said. All credit card tips go on your paycheck...meh

I have the opportunity to support Topgolf from Home Office. You can quantify and recognize the impact you have at Topgolf each and every day! Our teams are made up of Associates that truly care about doing great work. They work hard and are passionate about our core vales. As a company, when decisions are made, I see our leadership team really evaluate how something will affect our Guest and our Associate before moving forward.

Cons

We always want to get things implemented and executed at lightening speed. And our expectation is Excellence. However, we are not always supported with enough staff. The hours are relentless. While the work is fun and rewarding, it is easy to get burnt out by the workload.
