Pros

You will meet some nice people, but that's true of almost any industry job. Sure, there's discounts on food and if it's slow, you can play golf games for free...but that means having to spend your free/off time back at work. 🙁 The biggest PRO about working here is that you will learn the threshold of how much you can tolerate, and discover how lazy coworkers really can be.

Cons

All the "bad reviews" are telling the TRUTH. *The hours are ridiculously long. Way more than any other Restaurant/Bar. *Tips just aren't worth it. Avg Day shift (8/9 hrs) is $50, Avg Night shift (12+hrs) is $100. Friday and Saturday nights are the WORST!! Low class, Cheap guests come because they think it's like going to the Club...and let their bratty kids run all over. 😡 *TG forces you to work in extreme cold and extreme heat outdoors. The jackets they provide are poor quality and ill-fitting. It's Brutal. *They promote young, inexperienced, easily moldable people that look perky in yoga pants and overlook industry veterans- most of which have way more to offer. *They serve low quality slop for Family Meal and rush you to eat in a nasty, smelly, dirty, windowless locker room. No real breaks! *Small sections!! Better/Bigger sections are given based on who the Managers like (popularity contest!) Not who can actually handle more bays or effectively lead the floor. *All drink stations are a disaster after only an hour because no one picks up after themselves and the "shift leads" have no leadership skills. (See above) *Mgmt doesn't care when guests take up your bays for hours and order nothing, tip poorly,...and god forbid they are "ratchet" and complain about food, drinks, service, cost, etc...because the Mgmt will just roll over and comp their checks and give them free game time - so they take up your bays even longer...still don't tip AND you get in trouble with Mgmt. *Events pay terrible. Roughly $10/hr in event gratuity for having to do lots of running around, heavy lifting, set up/break down...and then you have to tip out your bar, food runner, etc from that!! Rarely will an Event Host tip extra. *Some Managers have inappropriate sexual relationships with Associates outside of work that creates favoritism at TG.

Pros

They usually pay on time Free play time for associates is nice You will meet some absolutely crazy people, literally crazy

Cons

Everything. Everything about this job was awful. You will see the worst aspects of humanity...but from corporate and management. Corporate is not responsive to complaints. Some of the awesome stuff I got exposed to: 120+ degree temps INSIDE 12-14 HR shifts no breaks/no food 55 hour weeks is the norm for management Always understaffed Food quality is awful and they lie about the product Company expects you to treat it like family, however the company itself doesn't care about you at all. As I was told by my boss, "you all are just parts of a machine and if a part breaks you just replace it." He seriously said that. No professional development HUGE divide between corporate and site level associates. They post videos on the corporate inter-site Facebook page of them rolling skittles across tables while I am witnessing employees get sexually and physically assaulted. Harassment and retaliation are part of the culture here. They will brain-wash you into thinking you're working for some new company that cares about it's "associates" however, that's all just a hook so that later when management is too lazy to work, they can just say "one team one dream, right??" This job will make you hate people, but love the guests bcs they are the only respite from the hostile work environment. The "guests" are the only people who have fun or enjoy Topgolf, because they can't see behind the scenes.

Hello, We are surprised and concerned to learn about the workplace environment you say you have experienced. Your review does not depict the Topgolf culture that we are so passionate about. Make no mistake: the safety and well-being of our Associates are of the utmost importance to us, and we take your claims very seriously. We urge you to help us research these matters further by reporting them to HR directly or by using the anonymous workplace number that’s printed in the Associate Handbook and posted in the break area at all venues.

Pros

Great coworkers, free gameplay, 50% off food, 20% off merch

Cons

LONG hours, low pay, no breaks, overworked, management is terrible and just as confused as we are, tablet order systems did not work for a long time, constant turnover, family meal is like slop food.
