Thanks for your positive review. I am glad you love the new Montreal office and feel that your colleagues are awesome. From our March 2018 employee poll, 97% of your colleagues feel they are surrounded by bright and talented people at TouchTunes. Wrt "No career evolution" we know we need to work on that, we just kicked off a working team comprised of executives and employees to develop a plan for us to improve here. Stay tuned.

Pros

Innovative and cool products, very competent co-workers, rare increasing source of revenue in the music industry. The quality of the product is such that you want to stand behind it and be loyal to it.

Cons

Because the company is relatively small for its size of operations, "lower" level employees are functionally very important but often under-appreciated. In some departments the level of dedication required from them is completely disproportionate to their compensation, and hard work often goes unrecognized. Meanwhile, upper management turnover is very high, compounding their laughable inefficiency in some departments. Unless you are earning a six-figure salary, morale is quite low and there is no general effort to improve it.

Toxic Leadership and Unfair Employment Practices

Pros

The company works on an interesting product and employs some capable, hardworking individuals. At a surface level, the organization presents itself as progressive and employee-focused.

Cons

My experience reflected a pattern of unjust and inequitable treatment, particularly during a period when reasonable support and professional discretion should have been standard. Despite meeting expectations and continuing to perform under objectively challenging circumstances, leadership demonstrated little interest in context, fairness, or employee well-being. Decisions felt rigid, punitive, and disconnected from actual performance. Upper management and HR actively contribute to a toxic culture driven by favoritism. Employees who are aligned with leadership are protected and enabled, while those outside the favored circle face unnecessary scrutiny, shifting expectations, and systemic roadblocks that appear deliberately designed to impede success. Even when these obstacles are overcome, the outcome rarely changes—suggesting decisions are often made in advance rather than based on merit. The organization operates from a place of distrust and control. Employees are micromanaged, spoken down to, and treated as incapable of independent thought or professional judgment. This infantilizing approach is not only belittling but deeply demoralizing, creating an environment where fear and compliance replace collaboration and growth. Over time, this culture erodes morale, accountability, and retention. Avoid this company unless you're comfortable with demoralizing and belittling treatment. It's a sinking ship at best!
