Pros

It’s retail so it’s not hard to outshine your peers. Promotions come easy if you actually work.

Cons

As with any retail store it pays better to get your promotion and after 1-2 years move on to a different store. Internal hires know more but are paid less. Corporate wants store to look one way, SOP wants another, District Manager yet another. Leaves management confused and constantly wasting labor changing planograms daily depending on who they wanted to please that day. Management raises were contingent on two factors out of their control.
