Pros

All of the kiddos are a major plus to be around

Cons

They absolutely do not take care for the workers and the pay is horrible and very hard to move up in the company, I won a district contest and was told I was going to be recognized and they forgot all about it and never brought it up again. And they also show favoritism (race).

Pros

Most of the employees are very friendly and enjoy helping customers. There are also good opportunities for internal promotion if you are one of those people who doesn't settle for doing the bare minimum at work. Personally, I look forward to season because there's always something to do. There are also plenty of hours to pick up at this time of year.

Cons

Customers get very agitated by some of our exclusions on select sales and I have heard many say our signs are confusing. My store gets absolutely dies the first week of January until about March or April, and it can be quite boring especially if you are working the customer service desk.

Pros

Management is very friendly, nice, and understanding. It's also a lot of fun playing around with toys when it is very slow (especially in the morning times). You also get a discount (I believe 10%) off almost everything in the store and you get to hold items that you want that are on sale or clearance.

Cons

The pay! Compared to other companies it is very low! Plus you have to constantly offer customers credit cards and service plans and ask for donations for certain things (for Children, usually around Christmas time). All of this would be ok but you don't see a dime of it since there is no commision pay. Also, the employee discount only covers basic toy items: No electronics. So unless you are still a child at heart or have kids around there isn't a whole lot to use your discount for. Oh, and by the way, after Christmas, if they don't let go of you, you will be hard pressed to get many hours unless you have exceptional experience and skills.
