      Laissez-faire once you're in the field

      Cons

      Nepotism, founder-syndrome, and toxic workplace abound. Have you been promised a full time position by these folks? Don't count on it. They are unreliable, chaotic, and disorganized- and they seem to take pride in it. "Complex systems break down sometimes" is what I was told when I got laid off. They pay barely over minimum wage, ask the world from their workers, and there's little to no on-the-ground supervision to give them quality assurance. If you're trying to work here, take heed- these people will absolutely screw you over as soon as they decide they don't like you. Forget this place, and forget trying to advance in this company. It's a sinking ship anyway. Trackers is the pits!

      Run, don't walk

      Mission is great Peers in the field are great to work with Learned some new skills

      Cons

      CEO is rude and disrespectful to staff, not open to new ideas, only wants things done their way Such an unprofessional organization Poorly run company, don't really care about employees anymore Keeps laying people off so there is noone good left in management If you are a friend of the family or family, you are set with a job Disorganized and don't know what they are doing CEO needs to step back and let others lead before everyone quits and you lose more customers Provide better training - not just CEO talking non-stop to everyone. Provide real training and education

      Dedicated Manager Coodinators, but horribly organized company policies

      Pros

      Fun work environment, nerdy and educational atmosphere, outdoor field work, teaching kids about the wilderness

      Cons

      Teaching large groups of kids, some of who have death wishes, Upper management organization and communication is almost non-existant, lack of incentive to continue working with competetive wages (i.e. if a bus driver is making more hourly than and combined TC and bus driver, why would we want to come back or work year round??)
