Pros

Great idea. Lower level people really work hard

Cons

Everything about how this company is ran. Toxic and abusive. Even look at the responses "trackers" has to these reviews. How many have said this is a toxic place and the owner is the issue. Has this issue been addressed? Even acknowledged? Nope. Continuing down the same road with no willingness to change at all

Pros

There are few pros but the kids are great and some of the teachers on staff are great and caring people.

Cons

The owner is a horribly abusive boss and will ask employees to spy on one another (he calls them his "ears") and will go so far as to try to find out information about his employees personal lives that have nothing to do with work. A lot of lip service is given to the idea of "community" while it is very clear that what truly matters to the owner is money. If you question the slightest thing about how they treat their employees or how certain practices are unsafe for students, you will be terminated with little or no explanation. There have been attempts, by staff, to have conversations over things like racial inclusion and these are immediately shut down by the owner, going so far as blocking comments by Indigenous employees. Avoid this place at all costs!

Pros

3 month job in the summer if you need it in the heart of Portland! Main level staff is great! Lots of laughs and new connections!

Cons

The kids are great, coworkers are genuine but by golly are all the full time staff burnt out! Some managers are fantastic, others are lost, upper management is doing things as difficult as possible to make things ultra confusing for the entire staff. During this last summer’s training, me and my entire team felt like we got talked at by one person about trackers culture and had a quarter of the time to talk about what we were actually teaching in our camp. Training was confusing and did not set us up for success. Towards the end of summer it became clear that upper management focused on the wrong things (like buying pizza or icecream for us on fridays) instead of actually helping us succeed this summer. This con was so obvious and present that it made it difficult to finish the summer and I didn’t work the last week because I was quite exhausted. I don’t think I will return for another seasonal gig.
