      Great benefits, but very clique-ish.

      Pros

      TJ's provides great benefits, which includes vision and dental (with orthodontia!) for those working 20 hours or more. The scheduler was also very good about letting me take time off as long as I let him know at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Being able to trade shifts was also a plus.

      Cons

      There were some mean and standoffish managers and employees. One particular manager was fond of ridiculing people and attempted to mask it in a sing-song way or a smile. Favoritism was very also obvious. Training wasn't very structured or thorough. You basically have to tell them you don't know how to do X or wait until they assign you to do X to realize you still need to be trained for it.

      Pros

      The benefits are great - health insurance for 20 hrs. and up, retirement plan paid completely by company and you get it if you stick around a few years. The crew is chosen in part for personality and are generally a great group to work with.

      Cons

      I understand the experience can vary greatly from one area to another. I'm on the East coast and they just don't seem to get the 'laid back' CA attitude or the fun environment that's supposed to be a part of the job. Also, the workspaces, materials for artists, freedom to be creative are different depending on the value the individual store managers place on their store's signage.

      Pros

      fun atmosphere great fellow crew members great pay and benefits package compared to other jobs of this nature great management enjoy general atmosphere laid back and easy going free food because of product knowledge great company culture coworkers from all different backgrounds and walks of life "family' life connection with coworkers helping make peoples day better by being friendly

      Cons

      monotonus work- even though they try to switch it up annoying customers- but you will recieve that with any retail oriented job cart runs in the rain working in the cold box stocking soy milk being abused by customers who take advatage of the "friendly trader joes employees" rude people
