Had a vibrant culture. . . now just woke

Pros

Great people, good benefits, lots of work to do. The company is making an aggressive play towards public cloud and has greatly invested in training to upskill current employees. The FTO and flexibility is still cherished.

Cons

The culture of this company was something to be proud of while under the last leadership team, even as a minority. The current CEO jumped on the politically correct bandwagon and now we are not judged by what we new ideas we bring to the table but, by what color our skin is, what our gender is, and you are partner is. The cultural marxism is now taking place at TU. I get it that we need to attack racism at the workplace but, TU has overstepped into the cultural politics of our current society. I use to love coming to work to get away from outside politics and we would all stack hands in unity to get the job done. Together, we can accomplish anything. On top of outside politics we've also be getting more political internally. Many leaders across the org are trying to build their empires and control where TU goes next and this has started a wave of turnover both up and down the organization. Cultural suicide at its best.

Rule by fear and Rotten Culture

Pros

On-site gym is convenient. Pay is decent if you are male. Some have great work-life balance; others are overworked.

Cons

First and foremost: If you've been fired or suddenly get a poorly justified negative performance review, document everything, and perhaps get legal advice ASAP before signing anything away. Now on to the substance: The lifers who have wormed their way to middle management rule by fear. You can smell it every time someone is fired. People huddle with their heads down in their cubicles and hope they're not next. If you speak up against them, expect to be fired or to have fabricated failures on a performance review. Don't underestimate the influence they've amassed. They've got HR reps and people in all groups in their pockets, so you have surprisingly few places to turn to. Lots of the blame game goes on. Junior employees learn quickly from veterans at the company. Finger pointing is the company sport. Something didn't get done? Well it's his fault, not mine.

My Team and manager, some of the other support roles i worked with.

Cons

Transunion is being worn like a skin suit, Neustar has taken over and Driving all leadership/business decision's. Venkat(Orchestration of mass layoffs) Shields(IT Scapegoat when it all fails) Cartwright(Transformation Propaganda, powerless schmuck about to take a golden parachute) Maigai(Brought in specifically for the facilitation of mass layoffs. Which is what she is known for in the HR industry), Bertrand(ESG Score Facilitation) 2 Mass Layoffs, Nov and March Outsourcing every GT(Global Technology) role to GCC(India,South Africa). Penny pinching(No money for anything relevant, tools, etc) No training budgets(Past 2 Years) Heard from a VP on a conference call to the entire GT org 4 month ago: "Never let perfection be the enemy of good enough" Clueless leadership(Especially the India based leadership)
