Pros

Don't take a sign on bonus, you will soon regret it. You will learn how management is NOT supposed to treat employees.

Cons

Yearly layoffs always before the holidays. No raises, petty micromagement, unreasonable goals, they will not invest in proper systems so you know they will not invest in you. Mother Aegon just cares about the bottom line.

Thank you for your feedback. We follow a pay per performance model – meaning merit increases and bonuses are determined by the performance of both the individual and Transamerica as a whole. I am glad you mentioned our systems. You are right that they do need updating, and we are currently investing heavily in technology that will help our employees and positively impact our customers. It is an exciting time to be at Transamerica because of all the new initiatives!

Pros

NYSE holiday schedule. You get to see how computers worked in the 1980's

Cons

Products are not competitive, low industry pay, no employee development, no opportunity for advancement, and horrible middle management.

Really the 1980s? We understand some of our systems are outdated but from the 1980s is a bit of an exaggeration. As an organization we understand we have systems that need improving, which is why we are investing in updating them and have already done so in some areas of the business. We are excited about these changes because of the positive impact on our customers and, of course, our employees. We operate a policy of advertising many of our positions internally first. This is to provide our employees to raise their hands first for positions of interest or promotions. This is important to us and an area that we will continue to work on and develop new ways of communicating opportunities. Thank you for the feedback.

Pros

People are friendly there but its because they want you to stay.

Cons

MAJOR PYRAMID SCHEME. It operates as a cult to be honest. They try to motivate you and becomes preach and cult like. They promise you cars and mansions. THE WILL TAKE ANYONE! They really tries goes after minorities who aren't too financially savvy. The servicing agents are random people. Most haven't attended college. They brainwash you to think that you aren't making money because you are lazy. They make you harass family and friends to sign up. They make you pay for testing, background check, and MAKE you get a policy with them.
